İslâm medeniyeti, toplumsal birlik ve ortak değerler üzerine yükselen kardeşlik anlayışını tarih boyunca canlı tutmuş; bu anlayışın en parlak örneklerini sahâbe nesli ortaya koymuştur. Sahâbe, ahlâk, adalet, dayanışma ve merhamet gibi temel değerleri iman merkezli bir gönüllülükle inşa ederek özgün bir toplumsal model oluşturmuştur.

Bu model, hukukun yalnızca yazılı kurallara değil; güven, sadakat ve ahlâkî sorumluluk gibi değer temelli esaslara dayandığını gösteren önemli bir mirastır. Medine’nin çok kültürlü yapısı içinde sahâbenin sergilediği kardeşlik hukuku, evrensel ahlâkî değerlere dayalı bir toplumsal düzenin çarpıcı bir örneğini teşkil etmektedir. Günümüzde yaşanan sosyal kırılmalar, kimlik temelli ayrışmalar ve hızlı toplumsal değişimler, kardeşlik fikrinin yeniden değerlendirilmesini zorunlu kılmaktadır. Bu bağlamda sahâbenin hayata geçirdiği kardeşlik hukuku, modern dünyanın sosyal ve ahlâkî sorunlarına ışık tutacak güçlü bir referans niteliğindedir.

Türkiye’de son dönemde toplumsal birlik ve kardeşliği güçlendirmeye yönelik yürütülen süreçler de müşterek değerlerin hatırlanması, sosyal bağların tahkimi ve sürdürülebilir bir toplumsal uzlaşının tesis edilmesi açısından önemlidir. Bu çabaların sağlıklı biçimde ilerleyebilmesi, sahâbe neslinin ortaya koyduğu kardeşlik hukukunun ilham verici yönlerinden istifade edilmesiyle mümkündür. Çünkü sahâbe kardeşliği, farklılıkları ihtilaf değil, tamamlayıcılık zemini olarak gören bütünleştirici bir yaklaşım sunmaktadır.

Bu çerçevede Adıyaman Üniversitesi Rektörlüğünün ev sahipliğinde, Adıyaman Üniversitesi İlahiyat Fakültesi tarafından düzenlenecek olan Uluslararası Sahâbe ve Safvân b. Muattal Sempozyumu, “Sahâbe ve Kardeşlik Hukuku” temasıyla 7–9 Mayıs 2026 tarihlerinde gerçekleştirilecektir. Adıyaman’da kabri bulunan Safvân b. Muattal’ın örnek şahsiyeti ve iffet–izzet anlayışı sempozyumun özel odak noktalarından biri olacaktır.

Bu sempozyumda sahâbe örnekliğinin günümüz toplumuna sunduğu imkânlar; kardeşlik hukuku, toplumsal barış, sosyal sorumluluk ve insan onurunun korunması bağlamında ele alınacaktır. Amaç, yalnızca tarihsel bir tecrübenin ilmî analizini yapmak değil; günümüzde adalet, ortak değerler ve birlikte yaşama kültürünü güçlendirmeye katkı sağlayacak bir düşünce zemini oluşturmaktır.

Bu önemli akademik etkinlikte siz değerli akademisyenleri ve araştırmacıları, “Sahâbe ve Kardeşlik Hukuku” temasına katkı sunmaya ve sahâbe mirasının bugüne bakan yönlerini birlikte keşfetmeye davet ediyoruz.

CALL TO ACTION

Islamic civilisation has maintained a sense of brotherhood based on social unity and shared values throughout history; the Sahaba generation has set the best examples of this. The Sahaba built an original social model by constructing the core values of ethics, justice, solidarity and mercy through a commitment to faith.

This model is an important legacy that demonstrates that law is based not only on written rules, but also on values such as trust, loyalty and moral responsibility. The brotherhood law practised by the Companions in the multicultural city of Medina is a striking example of a social order based on universal ethical values. The social fractures, identity-based divisions and rapid social changes experienced today make it necessary to reconsider the concept of brotherhood. In this context, the brotherhood established by the Sahâbe, provides a powerful reference for addressing the social and moral issues of the modern world.

In Turkey, processes aimed at strengthening social unity and brotherhood in recent years have also been important in reminding us of shared values, strengthening social bonds and establishing a sustainable social consensus. For these efforts to progress healthily, it is important to draw inspiration from the exemplary nature of the Sahaba's approach to brotherhood. Because Sahaba brotherhood offers a unifying approach that views differences as a complementarity rather than a cause of conflict.

In this context, the International Sahâbe and Safvân b. Muattal Symposium, organised by Adıyaman University Faculty of Theology and hosted by Adıyaman University Rectorate, will take place from 7–9 May 2026 under the theme of 'Sahâbe and Brotherhood Law'. The sultan's tomb in Adıyaman, Safvan b. Muattal, will be one of the special focal points of the symposium, which will focus on his exemplary character and sense of honour and dignity.

The sempozyum will explore the potential of Sahabe leadership in contemporary society, focusing on themes such as brotherhood, social harmony, social responsibility, and the protection of human dignity. The aim is not merely to analyse a historical experience academically, but also to contribute to the strengthening of a culture of justice, shared values and coexistence in the present day.

We cordially invite you, esteemed academics and researchers, to contribute to the theme of 'Sahâbe and Brotherhood Law' and to join us in exploring the contemporary relevance of the Sahâbe legacy.
